ABOUT
FMAAA
The Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging's (FMAAA's) mission
is to provide leadership in addressing issues that relate
to older Californians; to develop community based systems
of care that provide services which support independence
within California's interdependent society, and which
protect the quality of life of older persons and persons
with functional impairments; and to promote citizen
involvement in the planning and delivery of service.
The role of the agency
is to: Establish and coordinate an integrated comprehensive
community based system of care for seniors

Target services
towards low-income, minority, rural, and functionally
impaired individuals; |

Provide
nutrition and supportive services to assure maximum
independence and dignity at home for the elderly
in order to prevent premature institutionalization; |

Educate
the community on the issue of elder abuse and how
it might be prevented; |

Provide
opportunities for our seniors to demonstrate their
commitment to improving their communities. |
